What is your teaching built on?
What is your teaching built on? Matthew 7:24-25 says, “Everyone who hears these words of mine and odes them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat down on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.”
It DID NOT FALL. What is your teaching built on? Is it on rock, or as the other part of the scripture says, on shifting sand?
Do you find yourself floundering as a teacher? Finding that work is a juggling act and just not knowing which way to turn or which ball to catch next? It doesn’t need to be that way. If you are standing firm on the rock. If you have a relationship with Jesus, there is no storm the two of you can’t get through. The wind might beat down, but you won’t fall. Jesus is the rock.
How can you do this? Start or recharge your relationship with Jesus. Listen to the Bible on your commute. Did you know the Bible app will read it to you? You can even change the voices! Just start at the beginning or with a favorite book. Take it a step further and journal about what you hear. There are no right or wrong answers in a journal because it is your personal thoughts.
Also, if your foundation is rock, pray. Pray before you get caught up in everything. Pray before the situation is too much. Pray when the situation is too much. He wants to hear from you.
If you Teach & Trust with Jesus as your rock, you can never go wrong. I’m not saying it’s going to be all perfect and rosy, but it will be manageable.
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat down on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” ~Matthew 7:24-25
